Superb 18th Century Grand Tour EngravingANGELO CAMPANELLA (1746 1811), AFTER ANTON RAPHAEL MENGS AND ANTON VON MARON Roman frescos of the Villa Negroni Rome, 17789, with sublime original hand colouring in gouache. An exquisite and rare engraving of Adonis and a youth from an ancient fresco at Villa Negroni, which was excavated near the Baths of Diocletian in Rome in July 1777. A series of views of its interior decoration was engraved by Angelo Campanella after drawings by Anton Raphael
