Together with five other Celtic torcs, the original was discovered during construction work near the village of the same name in Suffolk, England, in 1968. Characteristic of the torcs of the late La Tne period is the design of two twisted rods. This renders the material particularly flexible, permitting the wearer to bend the torc open
