Hardy Zenith Fly Reel

Hardy Zenith Fly ReelA nice Hardy Zenith wide drum fly reel, currently set up for RHW (though convertible). Good used condition with plenty of cosmetic wear but fine mechanically. Reversible single screw nickel silver line guide. The Zenith was part of Hardy's Lightweight Series of reels and this was one of two wide drum Lightweight models made in the mid to late 1960s. 3 3 8" diameter with a 1 3 16" spool width and capacity is WF9F plus 80 yards of 18# dacron backing.

Rod weighs 4 1/8 oz

The reel is in unused condition

Named after famed tournament caster Louis Bougle

the cane is a medium wheatstraw color slightly mottled in places

This is a lightly used 1950's era rod and one of the nicest Payne rods I have seen in a while

The rod comes packed in a tan cloth bag with a wood and cork ferrule plug attached to the bag
