The rod is totally original and in near mint condition. All sections are straight. Original bag and tube with tube label in near perfect condition.

For sale here is a 9' Orvis Model 99 bamboo rod
so the reel comes with beautifully domed slotless Brass fittings that contribute to reel’s quality appearance (Please note the attention to the handle axel and studs on the backplate)
and an Allen wrench for operation and set-up
The rod remains in excellent
yellow main wraps with brown edges
Original bag and tube with nice label
stripers and other saltwater species
The ferrules are size 12/64 with a great fit
The tube is housed in a heavy black cotton cover with an adjustable drawstring and piping at the bottom to match the rod bag
The reel was made in 1925 and includes the original serial-numbered german silver reel foot with all of the proper markings -- full-length and unfiled
